As we watched the images coming from Gaza in absolute horror and disgust, we also were shocked that simple expressions of solidarity with the Palestinian cause were being stifled. Decent human beings appalled at the sights of children being pulled from the rubble were being doxxed. At a higher level, the effort to criminalize all aspects of Palestinian solidarity appeared to be underway (such as the move to ban BDS). Hence, we wanted to create opportunities for our friends and family to express our solidarity with both the Palestinians cause and other efforts at large that seek to deny human beings their freedom and their dignity. Hence, buywatermelon was borne of this perceived need. Hope you rock our products on the street, knowing that no one can police what we wear.
